Further to the announcement of 22 November 2007 relating to the proposed appointment of Jeremy Stafford as Chief Executive of the Group, Phoenix announces that Jeremy will take on the role with immediate effect. Jeremy joined the Group as Chief Operating Officer in April 2007 and since that time has been responsible for the day to day running of the Group's operations as well as leading the ICM integration project.

Peter Bertram will continue to act as Executive Chairman until 31 December 2008 after which he will revert to his previous position of Non-executive Chairman.
