Phoenix IT Services (“Phoenix”) understands the risks from the Internet and concerns people have regarding their personal privacy. Phoenix is committed to providing you with an Internet experience that respects and protects your personal privacy and choices. Phoenix’s privacy policy and practices are detailed below.
 
Helpful definitions:
Personally identifiable information is information, such as your name, birth date, email address or mailing address that can be used to uniquely identify you.
Anonymous information is not personally identifiable information. It is information about how you use this website. Anonymous information also includes the domain names and/or I.P. addresses (as explained below) of internet browsers that visit this website, the time of day that this website was visited, and other non-personal information. Anonymous information is information that is not tied to any person, but helps us know what our users do.
 
Your rights
Your personally identifiable information is protected in the UK in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. This provides, amongst other things, that any personally identifiable information that Phoenix hold about you should be:

  • sufficiently secure to prevent unauthorised access by other people.

Phoenix reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy at any time and any changes to this Privacy Policy will be posted here. 
 
Collecting and using personally identifiable information:
You can visit our website and use many of our services without telling Phoenix who you are or revealing any personal identifiable information. It is only when you enter some details that will you be asked to provide us with personally identifiable information, e.g. when you fill in an online form or request access to a secure area. Examples of such information are: 
  • Your name
  • Your company
  • Your email address
Phoenix will use this information to provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons:
  • internal record keeping
  • to administrate the website
  • to perform any services requested by you
  • to provide secure access login details
Sharing Personally Identifiable Information with Other Companies:
Phoenix will not share your personally identifiable information unless you have authorised Phoenix to share it. When Phoenix shares your personal information with other companies, they can use this information but cannot combine this information with other information they have about you or share this information with other companies or people without your express permission.
 
Disclosure of your identity:
From time to time Phoenix receive requests to disclose the identities of our users. Phoenix does not disclose the identities of its users unless legally required to do so. If a governmental agency, or a law enforcement agency, requests information in relation to the identities of its user, Phoenix will comply with the request.
If Phoenix receive a request by a third party that is not a governmental agency (for example, a request in connection with civil litigation), it will contact the user whose identity has been requested using the contact information the user provided during the registration process.
Phoenix will wait 10 days after notifying the user before deciding whether to comply with the request by disclosing the identity of the user, unless the request requires us to disclose this information before then. If Phoenix cannot wait 10 days because of the deadline in the request, Phoenix will let the user know the deadline included in the request when it notifies the user.
 
Anonymous Information:
Phoenix collects anonymous information when people use this website, even if they have not entered their personal details. Phoenix will not share any anonymous information about your use of this website with third parties if Phoenix know that this information will be linked with your personally identifiable information obtained from another source, unless you have given Phoenix permission to do so.

Use of I.P. addresses:
An Internet protocol (I.P.) address is a set of numbers that are automatically assigned to your computer whenever you log on to your internet service provider or through your company's local area network (LAN) or wide area network (WAN). Web servers, the powerful computers that provide web pages for viewing, automatically identify your computer by the I.P. address assigned to it during your session online. Phoenix may collect I.P. addresses for some purposes. Phoenix do not link a users I.P. address to someone's personal information, which means it will have a record of each users session but the user remains anonymous.
 
Security:
Phoenix operate secure data networks protected by industry standard firewall and password protection. Phoenix have security measures in place to attempt to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of your user data under its control. Only certain employees have access to the information you provide. While Phoenix cannot guarantee that loss, misuse or alteration to data will not occur it endeavours to prevent such occurrences.
