Did you know?
! Between January and August 2007 100% of all Phoenix office waste went to landfill.
In the past 12 months*:
! Phoenix employees have travelled 4.2 million business miles† that’s the equivalent of over 170 laps of Earth or over 8 trips to the moon and back. Business mileage† has contributed over 0.9 million kg of CO2‡.
! Across the four buildings over 2.9 million kWh of energy have been used. That’s the equivalent of 1.2 million kg of CO2§.
A number of schemes and initiatives are being rolled out across the company to help minimise the environmental impact of Phoenix IT Services’ business activities. Over the next two years our aims are to:
√ reduce office waste going to landfill by 75%
√ reduce energy consumption by 10%
√ reduce business mileage by 5%
In the past seven months** we have recycled 6.5 tonnes of paper, that’s an equivalent saving of 96 trees or 8.6 tonnes of CO2 †† .
